I figure it is about time I start sharing some of my canning jar recipes. What are they really? Well they are meals that I make from items I have canned during the year whether it be from garden produce or a really great deal on meat at the store.
Today I want to share a simple Venison Stew recipe that is so easy you dump everything in the crockpot and let it simmer until supper.
Canning Jar Venison Stew
1 quart yukon gold potatoes (can be baby whole, sliced or diced)- 1 pint carrot coins
- 1 jelly jar mushrooms
- 1 pint cubed venison
- 1 pint carmelized onions
- 1 envelope brown gravy mix (or homemade equivalent)
Dump all in a 3 qt or larger crockpot and simmer on low 6-8 hours.
