You can about imagine my boys going bonkers when they opened a box from My Blog Spark containing Betty Crocker’s Mississippi Mud Bar Mix and a new pan. Ethan was all over the pan claiming it as his own and Kyle was bound and determined to make the bars (with a bit of help from dad). Now I adore chocolate and was looking forward to ooey gooey warm out of the oven bars just as much as the kids well maybe not quite as much but honestly I would have preferred a brownie. Something about these bars to me are just too over the top and well I guess it just wasn’t what I was hoping they would be.
On a positive note, my kids loved the bars! They were easy to make and not horribly time consuming. I think the fact that my 12 year old son and dad spent some time together in the kitchen is priceless and sometimes that is all there is too say.
