Stella & Dot Giveaway

A few weeks back I received a wonderful Stella & Dot necklace to try out.  I am thrilled to say after wearing it a lot it is still in new condition.  There has been no tarnishing or wear visible.  I selected a Fleur de Lis pendant on a cord.  I choose my piece knowing it was soon to be discontinued because the Fleur de Lis is the Boy Scout symbol and this gives me something to wear to formal BSA functions or training events. This specific piece is no longer available but I would love to share some things I would pick if I were to purchase a special treat for myself.

Aren’t all these pieces great?  I absolutely love the earrings.  I really hope you can go check out Felissa’s Stella & Dot website and find something you fall in love with.  She is very helpful if you have questions and didn’t hesitate to help me find out if I could add birthstone charms to my necklace since charms often fit only certain necklaces.  Wouldn’t you love a chance to win a piece?  Well how about $29 towards anything on the website.  You have it right here at My Red Apron.  Make sure you follow directions so that your comments get counted.

Cutting Laundry Expense

I love spring.  One of my favorite parts of spring is that I can finally hang my clothes out to dry on the line.  I love the fresh smell of the clothes when I take them in to fold them.  The biggest thing is I can start to see a reduction in my electric bill.  For the past two days I have been washing clothes like crazy and hanging them out on my line. Make sure you save some money by taking the chance to hang out your clothes and linens this summer.  Another bonus is you will burn a few calories with the hanging process.

An American Brand

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Hormel Foods. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love food and on several occassions something fast and easy is wonderful. Using a brand like hormel allows many families to have just that a fast and easy meal.  Adding Hormel Chili to a hotdog or cheese dip makes for great game food when you are having one of those great American game parties as well.  Dinty Moore is another great brand that is fast to get on the table.  Visit http://www.hormelrecipes.com for more recipes ideas for your next get together or an after school snack for the teens.  Make sure you pick something out for the NCAA tournaments that are upcoming.  Some great in hearty meal recipes, such as Chili Cheese Dip, Chili-mac, Easy Shepherd’s Pie and Chili and 3-Cheese Fondue are what you will find at the hormel recipes site.  Are you tempted?  Get over there and pick out your favorite.  Have you tried one of these recipes?  Leave me a comment and let me know how it turned out.  Or just add something to your menu plan for next week and change things up a little. I bet you won’t be sorry using a classic American brand like Hormel and Dinty Moore!
