Substitutions for Your Pantry Challenge

Author: I have lived out of the pantry many times while growing up and then with my own family. We live on limited funds and I have learned to stock up on sales, can surplus produce and prepare extra when things are in season for the freezer. What took me awhile to really learn was how to use substitutions when I didn’t have an ingredient. I thought I would share some of my more common substitutions for those of you who are new to a pantry challenge.
You can view and print my substitution list whenever you need a quick help. I hope this helps while you are trying to eat out of your pantry during January.
