Food has been making me really hungry! I am having fun with the foodie giveaways and tomorrow a cookbook is coming. I love cookbooks. I won’t tell you who is the author or the title but I know how much you all love to try and win a great cookbook. I am in the reviewing process and trying to pick a great recipe to share with you and it is so hard to limit myself.
Two days ago I went on a hunt at Wal-Mart for one of those fat separator pitchers to get the fat off my turkey broth so I can make soup. I was incredibly disappointed that I couldn’t find one at all. I guess our Wal-Mart just isn’t big enough here or maybe they think people don’t cook from scratch. Either way I do not need the excess fat in my soup! So I put my broth out in the garage so it would freeze. I hope that the fat solidified and is hanging out on the top of my broth.
I know this sounds so gross and since I am on the topic of fat do I have a video for you. This might make you think about drinking too much soda ick! I have to say I love my Cherry Coke Zero but I am seriously rethinking it when I watch this. It kinda makes me gag ewww.
Okay now that I totally grossed you out and Jess brought my broth in from the garage with that solidified layer (yippee it worked). I guess I better go work on defatting the broth so I can make soup. I am going to toss a bunch of veggies and plenty of turkey in it YUM! See ya later

I think a lot of stores are cutting down on what they are carrying. I was at WM looking in their canning section and ended up not getting what I was looking for, either.
I’m just going to ignore that video – I love my Diet Dr Pepper too much.
I love homemade soup…especially this time of year. …mmmm making me hungry
