Before my blog transfer I had a poll up about trying a new crescent roll recipe. When the votes were in it was determined I should make a bacon cheese tartlet. Pillsbury and My Blog Spark asked us to modify the original recipe to work for us. The original Bacon-Cheese Tartlet can be found at the Pillsbury site. For my family I made a much different recipe.
Rhubarb-Bacon Cheese Tarlet
(12 servings)
1 tube seamless crescent roll dough
4 ounce block of cream cheese
6 teaspoons rhubarb jam (or flavor of your choice next time I want to try jalopeno)
crumbled bacon bits to taste
Preheat oven to 375. Unroll dough and cut into 12 squares. Gently press each square into a mini-muffin cup leaving edges to form a rim. Cut cream cheese into 12 cubes and place one into each cup. Sprinkle lightly with bacon bits and top with 1/2 teaspoon of jam. Bake 15-20 minutes until crescent rolls are golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
