The young minstrel eagerly starts on his quest with three companions, but the travelers are warned that Thunder Mountain is a place of terror and treachery. Will Gavin and his friends find Emmanuel’s will on the mountain, or are they walking into a trap?
My Thoughts:
I am in love with this book and my youngest son is begging for the entire series. In my opinion, it is a cross between Pilgrim’s Pride and Narnia. While this book series is aimed at children 10 and up I think it would be a great family read for some children as young as 7. It allows for several conversations about God and the path he chooses for us as individuals. The characters come from different walks of life with different personalities and reactions to the calling from God to search for him.
